The Metropolitan Workers' Trade Union, a member of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (ATUC), held a blood donation campaign with the support of the "Baku Metropolitan" Closed Joint-Stock Company, and jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Blood Donation Development Center and the Republican Blood Bank.
After each donor was medically examined by the doctors-hematologists of the Central Blood Bank medical team, a blood test was taken from them and an opinion was given on their participation in the campaign.
199 employees of the enterprise became voluntary blood donors in the campaign organized at the "Narimanov" electrical depot.
The collected blood reserves will be tested and used for the treatment of those suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia and other blood diseases.
