ANAS Free Trade Union (AHI) held a commemorative event on January 20 – The National Mourning Day. The event was attended by the leadership of the AHI, members of the bureau, chairmen of Trade Unions of institutes and organizations.
At the event, Chairman of the ANAS Sanan Hasanov said that what happened 35 years ago on January 20 is the heroism of our people. According to him, this event, which contradicts humanity and international law, could not break the fighting will of our people, and the sons of the homeland who lost their lives proved to the whole world that the Azerbaijani people can fight for their rights, freedom and territorial integrity and become martyrs. It was emphasized that along with the commemoration of the events of January 20, it is important to know its essence, and the broad scientific study of this tragedy is of great importance for its delivery to the younger generations.
Other speakers said that the Azerbaijani people will never forget that bloody night, will be remembered forever as a memory of blood and will be passed on to future generations.
After the event, the participants who came to the alley of martyrs paid tribute to the memory of those who died for the freedom of our country and laid flowers on their graves.
