The Union of Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan was formed by the decision of the constituent assembly of February 18, 2014 and was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan on March 11, 2014.

The main goal of the Union is to ensure the protection of the legitimate interests of the labor, social, economic rights of members, the development and implementation of social programs that ensure working and living conditions.

The Union is an independent public, non-political organization of workers working at all enterprises located and operating in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as pensioners, combining them into 40 first organizations.

The Union carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Trade Unions," other regulatory legal acts and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The highest governing body of the trade union is the Conference, convened at least once every five years. During the interfaith period, the governing body of the Union is the Republican Committee, meetings of the Plenum of the Republican Committee are held at least once a year. The Executive Committee of the Union organizes and ensures the implementation of the decisions of the Conferences and the Republican Committee. Meetings of the Executive Committee are held as necessary, but at least once a quarter.
