The Academy of Labor and Social Relations was founded in 2006. The Academy annually admits 300-500 bachelors and 40-50 masters. There are 1026 students at the Academy. 48 people are studying at the master's level.

The republican association was established in 1981 to organize the recreation and treatment for union members. At the union there are the Gakh medical boarding house "Shafa," the Rest House "Shahdag" in the Khachmaz region and the sanatorium "Pambigchi" in the Barda region (temporary refugees are resettled).

The Public Association of Sports Organizations of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (AHIITIB) was founded in 1993.

It regulates educational and training processes through the Olympic and non-Olympic sport activities, as well the children's youth sports schools, to host mass physical culture and sports events and field competitions.

In its subordination there are 5 sports societies - Product IK, Spartak IK, Karabakh IK, Youth IK, Zenit IK and 4 sports clubs (IK) - Climber-tourist IK, Chess and drafts IK, Pahlavan IK, Atilla IK.
