On February 2, 2022, an event was organized by the Trade Union of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the occasion of Azerbaijan Youth Day.

The event was attended by the chairman of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehman Ismayilov and a group of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Speaking at the event, which began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman Mehman Ismayilov spoke in detail about the state policy on youth in our country. Noting that February 2 has been marked as Azerbaijan Youth Day since 1997 by the relevant order of national leader Heydar Aliyev, Ismayilov said that the foundation of youth policy in the country was laid by the Great Leader. According to him, even during the Soviet era, the national leader had a special contribution to the education of Azerbaijani youth in prestigious universities and their successful careers. Even after returning to power for the second time, young people in Azerbaijan have always been covered by special state care.

Today, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, successfully continues the state youth policy founded by the Great Leader. The speaker spoke about the work done for the spiritual development of young people, education in the spirit of patriotism, higher education abroad, solving the problems of those in need of social protection, and the conditions created for the formation and development of youth organizations. It was noted that as a result of the far-sighted and wise policy of President, Muzaffar Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, a patriotic youth army was formed and this young generation reaffirmed itself in the 44-day Patriotic War, which ended in great victory.

Mehman Ismayilov noted that today the youth of Azerbaijan proudly adhere to the political course of national leader Heydar Aliyev, unite closely around President Ilham Aliyev and successfully contribute to the development of our state in all spheres of life.

Then the chairman of the union spoke about the selfless work of young people working in the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the persistent activities of young members of the union, both during the Great Patriotic War and in their daily services. The professional and selfless work of young employees in extinguishing forest fires and rescue operations in fraternal Turkey last summer is a clear example of this.

After the speech, 48 young employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who performed their duties, were awarded honorary diplomas and valuable gifts by the Trade Union of MES employees.
