Under the organization of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers, a regional conference was held in the city of Guba on the topic “Heydar Aliyev stage in the development of trade unions”. The conference dedicated to “Heydar Aliyev year” was attended by Mirza Jafarzadeh, the deputy chairman of the Republican Committee of Azerbaijan Education Workers Free Trade Union, Emil Rustamov, head of the Organization Department, the chairmen of Azerbaijan Education Workers Free Trade Union ‘s Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Shabran, Siyazan district committees, and trade union activists.
The conference began with the singing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan. Then, the souls of the Great Leader and our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan were remembered with a minute’s silence.
Mirza Jafarzadeh, the deputy chairman of the Republican Committee of the Azerbaijan Education Workers Free Trade Union, who spoke at the meeting, said that 2023 was declared the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In this regard, the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions and its member trade unions have drawn up and are implementing a corresponding action plan. The Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers has also started holding events related to the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”. The zone conference is one of the series of events of the Republican Committee.
Then M. Jafarzadeh spoke about the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of trade unions in Azerbaijan. He noted that the continuous development of all fields in Azerbaijan, including the institution of trade unions, is connected with the name of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Today, Heydar Aliyev’s ideas in this field are successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. Later, at the conference, Ayisha Shabutova, history teacher of Khujbala village secondary school in Guba district, Robert Hasanov, director of Gusar district Teachers’ House, Elkhan Mammadov, history teacher of Guba city Technical High School, Bariz Allahverdiyev, history teacher of Karachay village secondary school, Mansur Ilyasov, methodologist of Guba sector of Guba-Khachmaz Regional Education Department, gave a speech on the topic. At the end of the event, students performed poems and songs.
