"Daridag Arsenic Water Treatment Plant" is located 8-9 kilometers northeast of the city of Culfa, between the steep slopes of Darıdag, at an altitude of 800-900 meters above sea level. "Daridag" water is highly mineralized chlorinated-hydrocarbonate-sodium: it is an analogue of Kudova (Poland), Durkgeim (Germany), Sinegorsk (Sakhalin) water, but “Daridag” water is superior to them in terms of the proportion of mineral salts in the water. “Daridag” water has been widely used since ancient times in the treatment of bone-joint, muscular system diseases, as well as pathologies called “salting” and its various complications. Currently, ambudlator treatment of rheumatic, skin, muscle and nervous systems diseases is carried out here using an arsenic water bath.
