On December 27, the Assembly of the Free Trade Union of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences was held.
First, a minute of silence was observed in memory of those who died in the plane crash near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan.
Sanan Hasanov, Chairman of the Free Trade Union, opened the meeting and informed the participants about the agenda of the event. He said that the event will include listening to the report on the activities of the Free Trade Union in the current year, as well as discussing other organizational and current issues.
The chairman of the Free Trade Union presented his report on the activities of the organization in 2024. He said that support is provided to persons engaged in scientific activities, necessary work is done to evaluate their work, assistance is provided by the Union to persons with material and social problems, social protection and recreation of employees are provided, as well as various activities are carried out.
According to him, in the current year, employees of the Academy were sent to sanatoriums and recreation centers on preferential terms, one-and two-day tourist trips were organized to the regions of our republic.
Sanan Hasanov also brought to the attention that in 2024, members were provided with financial support, a group of scientists of Anas, members of the Council of young scientists and specialists were awarded with honorary diplomas and cash prizes on the occasion of their fruitful activities and anniversaries.
After listening to the report, discussions were held, opinions and suggestions were sounded. The report was considered satisfactory by the members of the Assembly.
The Assembly also considered current and organizational issues and made relevant decisions.
