On December 29, a meeting with veterans was held at the Nakhchivan Trade Unions Council, a member of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation, on the occasion of December 31 - World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.
First, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and those who died in the plane crash.
At the event, the Chairman of the Council, Ghazanfar Abdullayev, said that our state pays great attention to the families of martyrs, veterans and war participants. According to him, Azerbaijani trade unions also care about people from that category and do not spare their support.
Then, Jeyhun Bayramov, chairman of the "Nakhchivan Veterans" Public Union, spoke about the sacrifices made by veterans in the Patriotic War and called holding such meetings a moral support.
The meeting also heard speeches from Tabriz Zeynalov, deputy of the Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly, veteran of the Patriotic War, Ali Alisoy, deputy chairman of the "Nakhchivan Veterans" Public Union, Nazifa Qaybaliyeva, participant of the Sadarak battles, and veteran Rza Alirzayev.
It should be noted that, with the support of the Nakhchivan Trade Unions Council, veterans were given holiday gifts on Solidarity Day and New Year's Eve.
