
The next meeting of the "Labor Market" working group, led by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, was held under the Commission on the Business Environment and International Rankings.
The meeting was attended by the head of the working group, Anar Karimov, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission and Sector Director at the Presidential Administration, Nigar Vahabzadeh, Advisor to the Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, and representatives from government and non-governmental organizations involved in the working group.
Presentations were made on the implementation of the 2024 Action Plan of the working group, as well as the progress made on the 2024 Roadmap related to the "Labor Force" indicator of the World Bank Group's "Business Ready" report.
The meeting also highlighted steps taken in the areas of labor market development, improvement of labor legislation, expansion of active labor market programs, and enhancement of workforce skills.
The event covered the preliminary results of the diagnostics conducted on the relevant sub-indicator of the report, as well as the priorities for 2025.
The drafts of the 2025 Action Plan of the "Labor Market" working group and the 2025 Roadmap for the "Labor Force" indicator of the "Business Ready" report were discussed.
