On April 20, the member Organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation initiated and organized by the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Health Workers (ASIHIRK) “run towards health!" within the framework of the project, a running competition was held in the city of Lankaran.
First of all, the organizers and participants of the project visited the monument of great leader Heydar Aliyev in the city of Lankaran, laid flowers in front of him and honored his memory. The national anthem was also performed at the event, and the memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Doctors, nurses and other professions from Lankaran, Yardimli, Masalli, Lerik, Astara and Jalilabad districts, as well as students of Lankaran Medical College took part in the five thousand meters race. At the end, the first 3 people who crossed the finish line were declared winners and awarded. At the same time, the winners received the right to participate in the final competition to be held in Khankendi.
The sporting event continued with an artistic part performed by lankaran folklore and dance group” Nanalar"(“Grandmothers”) .
It should be noted that the competitions dedicated to June 17 - the professional holiday of medical workers are aimed at effective organization of leisure time of medical workers, promotion of physical health and strengthening solidarity among trade union members.
