A meeting of the Youth Committee of the Pan-European Regional Council (PERC) was held in Brussels, the capital of the Kingdom of Belgium. The event was attended by Mr. Eshgin Aliyev, the senior specialist of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK) and a member of the PERC Youth Committee, and Mr. Tural Suleymanov, head of the sector in the Confederation. During the meeting, the committee's activity plan for 2025, the main directions of youth policy, and the expansion of youth participation opportunities in trade unions were discussed. Mr. Anton Leppik, the executive secretary of PERC, provided information on the tasks and activity directions of the council during this period. Ms. Maria Tsirantonaki, the youth coordinator of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), shared her thoughts on increasing youth activism in trade unions. The representatives of AHİK, Mr. Eshgin Aliyev and Mr. Tural Suleymanov, spoke about the reforms implemented in Azerbaijan's Trade Union Confederation, youth policy, and the work done to protect their rights, and provided information about the "AHİK Volunteers" and "Decent Work Ambassadors" projects. The meeting concluded with the approval of the work plan for 2025.
