
On April 10–11, a regional meeting of the Economists’ Union of the Pan-European Regional Council (PERC) was held in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the topic of “Decent Wages and Collective Bargaining.”
President of the Serbian Trade Union Ranka Mišić, PERC Executive Secretary Mr. Anton Leppik, and International Labour Organization (ILO) representative Magnus Berge delivered speeches, sharing their views on the effective protection of workers’ labor rights and the provision of decent wages.
At the event, Tural Suleymanov, Head of the Department for the Protection of Labour and Socio-Economic Rights at the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK), spoke about the ongoing social reforms in Azerbaijan, as well as the activities and new projects implemented by AHİK in this direction.
The meeting also included discussions on the items on the agenda, during which opinions and suggestions were heard.
