A meeting was held with representatives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Labour Center at the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK).
Chairman of the Confederation Sahib Mammadov informed about the activities of the organization, the reforms carried out, brought to the attention the activities to protect labor, social, economic rights and legitimate interests of the union members, protection of health, organization of treatment and rest, especially the innovations in the trade unions system recently. It was noted that with the use of progressive practice, the activities of trade unions are improved, as well as the procedure for issuing referrals to members has been simplified.
The chairman of the Confederation noted the importance of cooperation with the OIC Labor Center, as well as the discussions held at the meeting will contribute to relations and the implementation of joint projects.
General director of the OIC Labor Center Azər Bayramov spoke about the activities of the Center and the projects to be implemented in Azerbaijan, emphasized the importance of relations in the field of labour, employment, development of human capital and strengthening the social protection system.
The sides exchanged views on the directions of cooperation, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
Then the representatives of the OIC Labour Center got acquainted with the activities of the Tourist Information Center “Kurort” and highly appreciated the innovations applied in the process of issuing trips.
