
AHİK has organized a concert program " Magic World of mugham " on the occasion of March 8 - International Women's day.
At the event, which was attended by women leaders of state institutions, Deputies of the National Assembly, women employees working in the trade unions system, the National Anthem was played first, and the memory of our martyrs who died for the defense of our Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence.
At the event, the role of women in the history of Azerbaijan's statehood, their contribution to the protection of our national and spiritual values, enrichment of our native language, development of our literature and culture were talked about, their determination, struggle and kindness.
It was emphasized that our wise people do not forget the merits of such women as Nushaba, Mahsati, Sara Khatun, Natavan, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, and pass them on from generation to generation, living in the bright pages of the history of Honor.
It was noted that the foundation of women's policy in modern independent Azerbaijan was laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev, and now this policy is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. Today, women are active participants in the social, political, economic and cultural life of our country. The humanitarian, cultural and noble mission of the symbol of Azerbaijani women, first vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva was emphasized and a video about her activities was demonstrated at the event.
The participants were also informed about the reforms carried out in the system of the Azerbaijan trade unions, applied innovations, implemented projects, and the presentation of the project “Decent Labour Ambassadors”, which was attended by well-known figures of our country and dedicated to the protection of labor rights.
Then the event continued with colorful musical compositions of “Garabagh” mugham group led by people's artist Mansum Ibrahimov. Mugham and folk songs performed by Honored artist Tayyar Bayramov, winners of the “Mugham” contest - Gullu Muradova, Ayshan Mehdiyeva, Aytan Maharramova were welcomed with applause.
