The VII Extraordinary Congress of the Agricultural and Food Industry Workers' Union "Kend-Gida-Ish," a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, was held. The Congress began with the State Anthem, followed by a moment of silence in memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs. In accordance with the regulations, the Presidium of the Congress, the composition of the Editorial and Auditing Commissions, and the members of the Secretariat were elected, and the agenda was approved. The agenda included issues such as the accession of the Agricultural Workers' Union, the Water Management Workers' Union, and the Natural Resources and Ecology Workers' Union to the Agricultural and Food Industry Workers' Union of Azerbaijan, amendments to the Charter, and other organizational matters.
Mamed Gasanov, Chairman of the "Kend-Gida-Ish" Union, presenting the agenda, noted that the union's merger with the relevant trade unions would significantly enhance management effectiveness. He emphasized that this structural change would optimize financial and human resources, create additional sources of funding, and introduce a unified approach for union members working in related fields.
After discussions, the Congress voted on and approved the accession of the three unions to "Kend-Gida-Ish," several amendments to the Charter, and the renaming of the organization to the "Republican Committee of the Agricultural, Ecology, and Water Management Workers' Union."
Mamed Gasanov was elected Chairman, Elvin Nasibov – First Deputy Chairman, and Fuad Mamedov, Akif Mamedov, and Telman Guliyev were appointed as Deputy Chairmen. The Congress also elected members of the Majlis and the Auditing Commission.
