With the organization of the Free Trade Union of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, an event dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, titled “The Khojaly Genocide and the Present of Our Sovereignty”, was held.
The event began with the playing of the National Anthem, followed by a minute of silence in honor of the memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country and the victims of the Khojaly tragedy.
Speakers at the event emphasized the atrocities committed by Armenian aggressors in Khojaly, the massacre of innocent civilians, and noted that the first legal and political assessment of this tragic event was given by National Leader Heydar Aliyev. It was highlighted that thanks to the far-sighted policy of Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, and the valor of our Army, our lands have been liberated from occupation, and life is returning to these territories, including Khojaly.
Following the speeches, the Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan presented information and photographs about the Khojaly genocide.
