The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK) and its affiliated organizations are hosting festive events across various cities and districts of the country in celebration of Novruz Bayram, bringing joy to children with special holiday gifts.
These celebrations have also extended to the young residents of Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh, allowing them to welcome the arrival of spring in their ancestral lands. Festive gatherings were organized in Zangilan, Jabrayil, Fuzuli, Lachin, Shusha, Khankendi, and Khojaly, where AHİK representatives congratulated schoolchildren and highlighted the significance of celebrating Novruz in their homeland.
During the events, discussions were held on initiatives aimed at supporting children's development and safeguarding their rights, with a particular focus on the contributions of trade unions in these areas. Special emphasis was placed on efforts to instill a strong sense of patriotism among the younger generation.
Amid the celebrations, children enthusiastically recited poetry, participated in traditional dances around bonfires, and shared the joy of living in their native lands. Additionally, AHİK distributed holiday gifts to the children as part of the festivities.
Notably, this humanitarian initiative by the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation was also extended to educational institutions catering to children with disabilities and those requiring special care, ensuring inclusivity in the celebrations.
