The Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of Azerbaijan (ATİAHİ), a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) was also represented at the ETUCE Meeting.
On April 8-10, a meeting of the European Trade Union Committee on Education (ETUCE) was held in the capital of Belgium, Brussels. The event was also attended by a delegation led by Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of Azerbaijan (ATİAHİ) Araz Pashayev, a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK). The meeting discussed the organization's financial report for 2024, the budget draft for the current year and future directions of activity, as well as the establishment of ETUCE sub-regional structures, the organization of round tables with education workers' unions of Central and Eastern European countries (CEE Countries), and an exchange of views on the Union of Skills strategy. At the event, Chairman of the ATIAHI Republican Committee Araz Pashayev provided information about the activities of the organization he represents, the work done to protect the labor rights of union members, and improve their social well-being, and emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation.
