The Individual European Chess Championship for men will begin on March 15 in the Romanian city of Eforie Nord.
A total of 385 chess players from 40 countries will compete in the tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the World Cup. Azerbaijan will be represented by 13 participants.
One of our representatives is Riad Samadov, a chess player from the Association of Sports Organizations of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (AHITA), a subordinate organization of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (AHIK).
The championship will consist of 11 rounds and will conclude on March 26.
