The Trade Union of Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was established in 2014. It unites employees working in all enterprises operating in the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The organization includes 40 primary trade union organizations and has 15,071 members.
The Union carries out its activities on the basis of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Trade Unions", other normative legal acts and the Charter of the Trade Union of Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The governing bodies of the Union are the Conference, the Republican Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Inspection Commission.
The supreme governing body of the Trade Union is the Conference, convened no later than once every five years. In the inter-conference period, the governing body of the Union is the Republican Committee, and meetings of the Plenum of the Republican Committee are held no less than once a year. The Executive Committee of the Union organizes and ensures the implementation of the decisions of the Conferences and the Republican Committee. Meetings of the Executive Committee are held, if necessary, no less than once a quarter.
