Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences established in 1992, October 27, 1998 since then, it has become part of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation. It combines employees of enterprises operating under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. It includes 20 first trade union organizations and 3,061 members.
The Congress of the Free Trade Union of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences is held once every 5 years. The timing of the Congress is determined by the assembly. In the inter-Congress period, the supreme body is the Assembly. The assembly is held 2 times a year. The meeting of the Presidium of the union is held 1 time per month.
