The Federation of Trade Unions "Hizmat-Ish," created at the constituent congress on September 29, 2000, unites five Republican Committees: the Trade Union Committee of Trade, Catering and Cooperation Workers, Health Resorts, Tourism, Sports, Hotel Industry, Fisheries, Grain Growing, Poultry, one province - the Committee of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - 52 district, Baku, Ganja and Sumy Gaita city trade unions, 5 educational institutions, National Culinary Central Trade Union Committees unites 52084 union members.
Member of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation on a confederate basis.
The main tasks of the Federation are the protection of the socio-economic and labor rights of workers through tariff agreements, collective agreements and other means at the level of the ministry, the main department and the company, joint-stock companies, active participation in the preparation of the General Collective Agreement concluded by the republican union of trade unions with the government, representation and protection of the common interests of industry workers.
The congress is the highest governing body of the Federation. The congress is convened every five years. The time and agenda of the congress are determined by the Federation Assembly.
In the inter-entry period, the decisive body of the federation is the Majlis, and the executive body is the Executive Committee.
The Federation does not depend on state and economic bodies, political and other organizations, is not accountable to them. The Federation carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Trade Unions," other legislative acts related to the activities of the trade union, the conventions of the International Labor Organization ratified in the Republic of Azerbaijan and its Charter.
On a confederate basis, the Federation is a member of the International Trade Union (UNI), the International Union of Food and Tobacco Workers, Hotels and Hotels (IUF), and the International Union of Trade Workers.
The Federation has permanent commissions and the Youth Council for Labor and Socio-Economic Issues, Cultural, Household and Sports Issues, Gender Equality and Women's Problems, Labor Protection, and Social Insurance.
