The Defense Industry Workers' Trade Union was founded in 1992. It unites workers working in the defense, radio electronics, and instrument-making industries.
The committee includes 7 primary trade union organizations and has 5804 members.
The supreme body of the Trade Union is the Congress. In the period between Congresses, the Trade Union is led by the Republican Committee, which meets in the Assembly at least once a year. To operationally manage the activities of the Trade Union, the Presidium of the Trade Union is elected from among the members of the Trade Union.
The Trade Union actively cooperates with the International Confederation of Trade Unions of Defense Industry Workers and the Turkish Military Labor Union.
