The Azerbaijan Maritime Transport Workers' Trade Union was founded in 1906 under the name "Seafarers' Trade Union".
The Azerbaijan Maritime Transport Workers' Trade Union is the legal successor of the Azerbaijan Water Transport Workers' Trade Union, which was state-registered at the Ministry of Justice on March 12, 1993.
The Azerbaijan Maritime Transport Workers' Trade Union unites the trade union organizations of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company and the Baku International Sea Trade Port. The committee includes 6 first trade union organizations and has 8263 members.
