“Under the leadership of the victorious Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the occupying Armenia, which was defeated by the Azerbaijani Army, was forced to sign the Statement dated November 10, 2020. The signing of this Declaration means the military capitulation of Armenia and formalized the victory of Azerbaijan. According to the statement, the Armenian side had to remove the remnants of the destroyed invading army from the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent was temporarily stationed. But despite the fact that so much time has passed, it continues to violate the provisions of the Declaration. Those illegal armed elements regularly commit acts of terrorist provocation and cause the death of innocent people. The Azerbaijani side has repeatedly warned Armenia about this. “It seems that Armenia does not intend to ignore the documents it has signed.”

Sattar Mohbaliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK), member of the Milli Majlis, expressed these views in his statement to the media.

“On August 3, members of illegal Armenian armed groups in the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, once again resorted to terrorist-provocative acts, and as a result, soldier Anar Kazimov was martyred. They also tried to seize favorable positions in Kalbajar and Lachin districts. Of course, this was retaliated by the Azerbaijani Army. This shows that Azerbaijan will never allow any illegal armed group to exist on its territory. The Armenian side must also understand this and fulfill its obligations without hesitation. And they should understand that in front of them is the powerful, leading state of the region, Azerbaijan. The recent events are obvious, conclusions must be drawn,” said the deputy of the Milli Majlis.

“Azerbaijan’s efforts in all negotiations after the end of the conflict are aimed at achieving peace and security and stability in the region as a whole. The proposals put forward by our state cover the economic development of the region in general. By slowing down the peace process, the Armenian side is actually putting itself in a difficult situation and trying to prevent the comprehensive development of the region. The recent events reaffirm that Armenia does not want the normalization of relations between the two states and disrespects the norms and principles of international law,” S.Mohbaliyev stressed.
