“Azerbaijani-Turkish relations are developing steadily, new bright pages are opening in our relations day by day. Our cooperation in political, economic and trade relations, energy, culture and education has reached its maximum level. Our relations have reached this level, of course, thanks to the special services of the heads of state of both countries. I reminded that our esteemed President Ilham Aliyev expresses his unequivocal support for Turkey at various international events. The same attitude is expressed by the leader of the brotherly country, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This is the embodiment of the solidarity and unity that exists between our states and peoples. ”

This opinion was expressed by the chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (ATUC), MP Sattar Mohbaliyev.

According to him, the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey is a clear example of a unique alliance: “I would like to highlight the Shusha Declaration signed on June 15 last year to further deepen our relations. All the provisions of the Declaration provide an opportunity to ensure higher quality cooperation. We must not forget the moral and diplomatic support of the brotherly country during the war. From the first hours of the counter-offensive, the support of the entire Turkish people, including Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was, in the true sense of the word, a great celebration of free brotherhood. All Turkish state structures have shown great determination in all spheres for the victory of Azerbaijan. Despite international pressure, Turkey has not backed down from its position of fraternal support. This is a clear sign of the great brotherhood that has gone down in history. ”

Recalling the reciprocal visits of the heads of state, the MP noted that Azerbaijan and Turkey are always close to each other, both in good times and in bad: “Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s participation in the Victory Parade on December 10, 2020 is free from occupation. His visit to the territories of Azerbaijan, as well as his participation in the opening of Fizuli International Airport is another confirmation of what we have said. And these relations are at a level that will be an example to the whole world. By the way, the opening ceremony of Rize-Artvin Airport in Turkey was held on May 14 this year. I would consider the participation of the President of Azerbaijan in such a prestigious event at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, wishing him success in the work of the Airport as one of the important events in the development of our relations. Speaking about the level of relations between the two countries, President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with being with our Turkish brothers at the opening of Rize-Artvin Airport, which will make a significant contribution to the Turkish economy, including the implementation of new projects in the field of tourism. We believe that all these visits and the work done will further deepen our relations and strengthen our cooperation. “
