In 2021, the rectorate of the Academy of Labour and Social Relations jointly with the member organizations of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) took effective measures to improve the education system of trade union personnel and activists, organized their education in trade union courses.
According to the approved educational plan of Academy for 2021-2022, it is planned to involve 830 personnel and activists of trade unions in education.
In September-November 2021, in accordance with the educational plan for trade union personnel and activists, ATUC organized a series of courses on protection of rights and interests of employees from all branches of trade unions, occupational safety and health, economics and global trends, and development of human potential. As a consequence of the pandemic, the educational plan (830 people) of trade union personnel and activists for 2021-2022 is being implemented in stages in an online format. So, 578 people are planned to be involved in training in 2022.
In accordance with the education plan of the current year, the training of trade union personnel will start at the Academy by June, and during September-December the number of people planning to involve in 1-day, 2-day and 3-day courses will be 112, 97 and 117, respectively.
In September-December 2022, courses will be organized mainly for newly elected chairmen of trade union committees, student trade union committees, chairmen of Youth Councils, chairmen of commission for gender issues, labor inspectors, members of labor dispute commission and employees from all trade unions. A total of 254 people will participate in these courses.
