Since 2015, The Trade Union of Metropolitan workers has been organizing a one-time award (scholarship) for students admitted to higher schools with the aim of increasing and encouraging interest of their children in education.
Thus, this issue was discussed at the beginning of 2015 at one of the meetings of the executive committee of the Trade Union of Metropolitan workers and was included in the perspective work plan. To this end, every year after the entrance exams to the higher schools of the Republic, relevant research is carried out on the mentioned issue, candidates are determined, and on the eve of the new academic year in September, their awarding is carried out solemnly.
As every year, this year, The Trade Union of Metropolitan workers met with the children of metropolitan families who entered higher schools with high scores at the training center of” Baku Metro» LLC. The parents of the students attended the meeting. This year, seven young people from metropolitan families will get a high result and get a student ticket from various universities of the country. 6 of them gained more than 600 points, 1 of them gained the title of an out-of-competition student as a result of winning a bronze medal at the subject Olympiad in the Republic.
Speaking at the meeting, Executive Committee of Chairman Arif Mardanov welcomed the participants and congratulated them on behalf of all the Metropolitans on their first visit to the Higher School auditorium. Arif Mardanov addressed the students and said: “I hope that after completing your higher education you will contribute to the prosperity of your university as a highly qualified specialist. This will be your duty in front of the motherland”.
Later, the chairman of the Trade Union of Metropolitan workers presented the organization’s awards to the students achieved high results.
