“The work on the socio-economic development of the regions continues successfully, and it covers the whole country. Sustainable development of the non-oil sector, improving the quality of public services, the implementation of major social infrastructure projects, as well as the creation of new enterprises and jobs. This has led to an increase in employment, welfare and improvement of social conditions.

Mr. President personally participates in the opening of infrastructure facilities and groundbreaking ceremonies in the regions, gets acquainted with production facilities, holds meetings with public figures and entrepreneurs, and gives relevant instructions to address the issues raised.

This opinion was expressed by MP, Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan Sattar Mohbaliyev.

According to him, new sports complexes are being built in the country in order to educate young people in a healthy spirit, to get rid of bad habits, to develop physical education, as well as to spend their leisure time more effectively. It will serve to increase their potential, as well as to ensure the popularity of sports.

“When the landscaping work began in our liberated territories, Mr. President stated that the programs and projects we have planned for other regions will be implemented in parallel. During the President’s visit to Naftalan, as well as Goranboy and Dashkasan districts, we saw that roads, drinking water lines were built, hospitals and social facilities were built, and new jobs were created. The work done in various fields will give impetus to the comprehensive development of the region and will serve to improve the living standards of residents. It seems that despite the global economic crisis caused by the pandemic, economic growth in our country continues rapidly. All this shows the economic power of our strong state”,  Mohbaliyev said.

The MP noted that in the war, the occupying Armenia was helpless in front of the Azerbaijani Army and began to target our civilians: “The city of Ganja, far from the front line, was attacked by rockets. Many civilians were killed and injured, and infrastructure, historical and cultural monuments, and vehicles were severely damaged. The Azerbaijani Army, in full compliance with the laws of war, took revenge for Armenia’s ugly deeds by overdoing it on the battlefield. During his visit to the western region, the head of state visited the city of Ganja to get acquainted with the crime scenes caused by the rocket attacks and paid tribute to the memory of the killed civilians.

“Currently, landscaping work is being carried out in our liberated territories, our cultural and religious monuments are being restored, power lines are being laid. Construction of Barda-Agdam, Fuzuli-Shusha, Horadiz-Agband, Zangilan-Gubadli-Lachin, Fuzulu-Hadrut, Fuzuli-Jabrail, Zafar and other roads is underway. The fact that the territories have been mined by the occupying Armenians and the maps of the mined areas have not been provided to Azerbaijan in full hinders the completion of the work. Let me note that since the end of the war, about 150 of our citizens have been killed or lost their health by landmines. This reveals the terrorist nature of the Armenian state. “We do not see any pressure from the world community on the issuance of mine maps to Armenia,” he added.
