The international youth forum of working professions on “The evolution of work: climate, skills, code.”was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan

The forum was attended by representatives of 28 professions from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The event, organized by the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan in the format of the Keleshek Camp youth camp, is dedicated to the future of the work of young workers, the fight against informal employment and the study of the experience of various countries in this area.

Speaking at the forum, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin made speech  about the consequences of informal jobs, the damage they cause to the economies of countries, and noted the importance of combating such cases.

At the forum, a video message from the chief adviser of the Pan-European Regional Council of the International Trade Union Confederation, Goda Neverauskaite, was presented to the participants of the event about the role of trade unions in protecting the rights of young people in the context of global changes. Then the speeches of representatives from different countries were heard. Fuad Alekperov, Adviser to the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation on international issues, spoke about the experience of trade unions in our country on this topic and noted that the ATUC provides all possible support to increase the competitiveness of young people and increase their professionalism.

At the end of the forum, a final decision was made. The resolution contains the main provisions on ensuring decent working conditions and social protection of young people. This includes cooperation with government agencies and employers to promote the principles of decent work among young people, support them in choosing a profession, and create sustainable jobs in accordance with international standards during a fair transition.
