AHIK chairman was interested in the state of education at the Academy of Labour and social relations

The leadership of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (AHIK) visited the Academy of Labor and Social Relations of the AHIK.It was reported that the Faculty of Finance and Economics and Social Work operates in the higher education institution.There are 3 departments, 2 research centers and 2 teaching laboratories at the Faculty of Finance and Economics, and 2 departments at the Faculty of Social Work. A teaching laboratory and research center are currently under construction. 1026 students study at the bachelor’s level, 48 at the master’s level.AHIK Chairman Sahib Mammadov looked at the rooms intended for professors and teaching staff, study halls for students, conference and assembly halls for holding various events, and the library in the building of the Academy, and was interested in the existing conditions here.
Then, in a meeting with the professor-teacher staff of the Academy, a conversation was held with the management and teachers, and the state of teaching was discussed.The chairman of AHIK said that, like other fields in our country, the field of education is continuously developed with the attention and care of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, and it has been adapted to international standards with the reforms carried out in this direction.He also talked about the projects successfully implemented by the First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation headed by her for the development of education in Azerbaijan.Emphasizing the need to form an effective management mechanism in the Academy, increase the quality of teaching, modernize it based on advanced international standards, as well as establish relations with the prestigious universities of the world and conduct exchange of experience, the Chairman of the Confederation instructed to make the Academy attractive for applicants and to take measures to increase the demand for its graduates in the labor market. Also, taking into account the requirements of the labor market and world experience, it was decided to create new specialties at the Academy and conduct training for the participants of the “AHIK volunteers” program.Talking about the future start-up projects of AHIK, the chairman of the Confederation noted the importance of this in the effective activity of trade unions.Then there was an introduction to the working conditions of the member organizations of AHIK located in that building.
