The III report-election conference of the trade union committee of the Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR was held. Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov, Chairman of Trade Union Committee Oktay Rzayev, Head of the Organizational Department of Azerbaijan Oil and Gas Industry Workers’ Union Republican Committee Heydar Asgarov, employees and students took part in the conference.
Oktay Rzayev, who chaired the trade union committee of the Baku Higher Oil School in the last reporting period, informed about the work done. After the discussions, the agenda and working order of the conference were approved, and the report on the relevant period was heard. Also, the number composition of the trade union committee of the Higher School and the Inspection commission was determined, as well as the representatives to the 6th Congress of the Oil and Gas Industry Workers’ Trade Union were elected.
Elsever Salimov, a senior engineer on labor protection and safety equipment, was unanimously elected the new chairman of the trade union committee of the Baku Higher Oil School.
Speaking at the conference, Elmar Gasimov congratulated the new chairman, praised his work and gave a number of recommendations.
In the end, Elsever Salimov expressed his gratitude for the trust and declared that he will work hard to fulfill his duties.
