On May 10, on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, great leader Heydar Aliyev, a caravan of cars loaded with food for 4,200 low-income families living in the regions of the Republic, including families of martyrs and veterans, was sent off by the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (ATUC).
In addition, 1,200 families of the same category living in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are given holiday gifts.
Industry trade unions and their local organizations also provide food assistance to families of the category we mentioned in all regions.
ATUC chairman, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev, who attended the farewell ceremony, told reporters that trade unions always treat vulnerable population groups with care, carry out various measures to meet their social needs on all holidays and other significant days for our state, including gifts and gifts: “this is a direct support to the social policy pursued by the head of state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Today marks the 101st anniversary of our national leader Heydar Aliyev. On this occasion, events are held in all parts of our country. Last year, the 100th anniversary of our great leader was celebrated with great pomp by our people and state at a high level. Also, a series of events were held on this occasion in different countries of the world. We are grateful to the head of state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, for declaring 2023 the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”. Because the ideas and political heritage of our great leader must always live and be promoted. Everyone, including the next generation, should know that today’s mighty Azerbaijan has established Heydar Aliyev’s philosophy of statehood. ATUC and its member organizations also prepared and implemented an action plan related to the “Year of Heydar Aliyev”. Our events, which lasted all year round, took place in all departments, organizations and enterprises where trade unions existed.”
Sattar Mohbaliyev noted that the Great Leader’s birthday is a significant day for both our state and our people: “Because he spent his whole life on the road to Azerbaijan. We understand the greatness and greatness of Heydar Aliyev more deeply with the passage of time, we value the life of a genius as a mission of loyal service to the Motherland and the people. Therefore, on such a dear day, we wanted to remember the family members of our martyrs, our veterans, and support them materially and morally, following the precious and sacred recommendations inherited by our Great Leader. This is the highest mission for each of us.”
