A meeting of the Women’s Committee of the Pan-European Regional Council was held

On April 18, a meeting of the Women’s Committee of the Pan European Regional Council (PERC) was held online.

The agenda of the meeting included the discussion of the work done during the past period and the determination of the tasks ahead in the first half of 2024.

Chairman of the women’s committee, head of the sector of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (ATUC) Roya Garayeva gave a report on the work done, implemented projects and brought to the attention of the participants the decisions taken at the meeting of the Women’s Committee of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) on February 6 this year.

He also spoke about his report at the panel meeting on “Accelerating gender equality through systemic change in the world of work” in the framework of UNCSW68, the 68th session of the UN on the Status of Women.

She also spoke about her report at the panel meeting on “accelerating the achievement of gender equality through systematic changes in the field of labor” within the framework of the 68th UN session on the situation of women.

Then Goda Neverauskaite, the political advisor of PERC, informed about the events that will take place and the representation of the Women’s Committee is important, and also talked about the agenda of the next meeting scheduled for the second half of this year and the upcoming activities of the Women’s School. He noted that the final decision on where to hold the Women’s school planned for autumn and other related issues will be reviewed and announced after joint agreement with the committee chairman.

Other speeches were also heard at the meeting, views were exchanged, opinions and proposals were sounded.
