The effectiveness of trade unions depends on the protection of the rule of law, socio-economic progress, stability, ensuring democracy, human rights and freedoms, and the development of civil society. The great successes achieved by the Republic of Azerbaijan in this field are based on the services of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the policy of President Ilham Aliyev, who continues his path.
Trade unions always feel the strong support of President Ilham Aliyev in protecting the labor, social, economic rights and legal interests of workers, pensioners, and students. It is thanks to this support that the trade unions of Azerbaijan demonstrate determination and take decisive steps in protecting the labor rights of workers and solving their social problems.
The members of Trade Unions are rightly proud of their contributions in regulating labor relations and increasing the efficiency of social partnership.
The Confederation did its best to support the Common Cause in our Republic both in the 44-day Patriotic War and during the covid-19 pandemic. Sensitive attitude to families of martyrs, war veterans, protection of labor rights of citizens, improvement of social welfare, ensuring the harmonious development of society as a whole is the main basis of our activity.
Every day we are among the most diverse groups in the Republic. Trade unions feel nationwide love and support and great confidence in President Ilham Aliyev in each team. For 20 years, the Azerbaijani people have trusted their fate only to Ilham Aliyev in all the presidential elections.
He fulfilled all his promises to the Azerbaijani people, and everyone knows that President Ilham Aliyev’s word is as strong as his signature. Ilham Aliyev is the national leader who brought the Azerbaijani people to their greatest dream – to liberate Shusha. The spirit of great leader Heydar Aliyev is happy today. Proudly waving the flag of Azerbaijan in Shusha, Khankendi and Khojaly is a great happiness forever imprinted in history.
Over the past 20 years, as a result of the leadership and decisive policy of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has moved from victory to victory, passed a great path of development and conquered peaks. All these are the historical merits of the political leader, who accurately calculated what, when and how to do.
Bloody events and endless wars are taking place in different regions of the world today. Under such conditions, Azerbaijan as an island of stability, development and security in the world only moves forward, its fame spreads throughout the world. First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva is also the closest associate of the president of Azerbaijan on this glorious path.
Like all the people of Azerbaijan, trade unions know very well what pressure and dirty campaigns our country is subjected to from time to time precisely because of its independent policy course. However, all this could not prevent Azerbaijan’s determination and development path. The eldest son of our people, Ilham Aliyev, protected Azerbaijan from all troubles, with restraint, determination and irreversibility led the country to new successes.
How many countries today suffer from violations of their territorial integrity and sovereignty. Azerbaijan made history with its victory in just 44 days. The Patriotic War showed that the people of Azerbaijan, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, United like an iron fist, and military operations were carried out that fell into military textbooks.
During the counter – terrorist operation of September 2023, 19-20-in just 23 hours 51 minutes-the remnants of the Armenian army were destroyed, the junta heads of the illegal military regime knelt down, raised a white flag, surrendered. The leaders of the junta, whose hands have sunk into the blood of our people, the Khojaly executioners are now in their rightful place – in prisons, they have been sentenced to answer before the courts of Azerbaijan for the war crimes they committed. Today, Independent Azerbaijan is in safe hands, our country has never been so strong in history. We can happily say that this is the Azerbaijan that Great Leader Heydar Aliyev dreamed of!
As in the previous presidential elections, the position of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan is unequivocal, unanimous and unchanged.
We, the representatives of the Extraordinary VI Congress of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, on behalf of 1.5 million trade union members, continue to stand in solidarity with our people and support the great personality Ilham Aliyev, who turned Azerbaijan into a developed country, in the extraordinary Presidential elections to be held on February 7, 2024!
We call on every citizen of Azerbaijan to take an active part in these elections held for the first time under conditions of full protection of our territorial integrity and sovereignty, to come to the polling stations on election day and become a part of this glorious historical process, to strengthen it with their signatures! Azerbaijan deserves victory! Long live the victorious people! Long live the victorious Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev!
