On December 13, a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) was held. Opening the meeting, Chairman of ATUC, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev brought to the attention the issues to be discussed.
At the meeting of the Executive Committee, the convening of the extraordinary congress of ATUC, organizational issues and sending information to member organizations related to this were discussed.
- Mohbaliyev said that the extraordinary presidential elections scheduled for February 7, 2024 will be the next manifestation of the people’s support for the ideas of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the new, modern and independent Azerbaijan, and the policies of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and these elections Azerbaijan trade unions and our members, who number more than a million, will contribute to the free and democratic conduct of the event in the conditions of high civic activity.
At the meeting, it was noted that the Extraordinary Congress should be held on December 20 at the Baku Congress Center. The nomination and election of a candidate for the position of the new chairman of the ATUC, as well as other organizational issues will be discussed at the Congress.
At the meeting of the Executive Committee, it was also decided to send the next food aid car convoy to the regions of the Republic on the occasion of December 31 – the day of solidarity of World Azerbaijanis on December 24.
