A series of events continues within the framework of the” year of Heydar Aliyev”. The “Zafar” football tournament dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of great leader Heydar Aliyev, the day of Remembrance and the third anniversary of our glorious victory has ended with the joint Organization of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of agrarian sector workers.
The tournament, which started on October 22, was attended by 24 teams consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, subordinate bodies of the Ministry, as well as companies operating in the agricultural sector.
As a result of the draw, the teams competed in 4 groups with 6 teams in each group. As a result of the games within the group, the teams that took the first two places received the right to compete in the ¼ final stage. The games were managed by the referees of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan.
“Grand Agro” LLC and “Saba” teams met in the final match held on November 7. “Grand Agro” LLC team won the game, which took place in tense conditions. The “Saba” team won the second place, and the ATT team won the third place. Fuad Mammadov, chairman of the Republican Committee of the Agrarian Field Workers Trade Union, presented honorary degrees, cups and medals to the winning teams.
The main goal of holding the victory tournament is to commemorate the dear memory of our martyrs who showed heroism in the 44-day Patriotic War, as well as to strengthen friendly relations between collectives, to effectively organize the leisure time of employees, and to ensure mass participation in sports.
