The president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the head of State of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan have made the countries they lead have great influence in the world. Today, Azerbaijan and Turkey, who are developing day by day on the world map, have a great say, have wide opportunities to influence global processes, and are the authors of major projects of international importance. The contribution of both leaders to peace and security and stability both in the region and in the world is unprecedented. They also brought the two fraternal peoples closer and closer together, who had been distanced for many years. We can say with confidence that there are no countries in the world as close, friendly and brotherly as Azerbaijan and Turkey. Our countries, which have always expressed fraternal feelings, are with each other both on a narrow day and on a happy day. We will never forget the moral and political support provided by the Turkish state and people when the Azerbaijani Army embarked on a 44-day victory path under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s words” we are with Azerbaijan”were a great psychological blow to both the occupying power and its patrons.”
Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev said in his statement to the mass media.
“The services of both leaders in the rapprochement, Organization of the Turkic states, expansion of the activities of the Organization of Turkic states, increasing their influence and ranks are great. Thanks to their political skills, initiative and determination, the Organization of Turkic states has become one of the real centers of power, promising great prospects and playing an important role in world politics. Today, a real basis has been created for the restoration of the geographical bond between the Turkic states. The author of this mission is President Ilham Aliyev. After the opening of the zangazur corridor, our relations with the Turkic states, including Turkey, will expand even more, and we have no doubts about this,” the MP said.
According to him, another contribution to the deepening of relations between brotherly countries was the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to our country on September 25: “during the visit, the ceremony of laying the foundation of the Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline was held, and the heads of state took part in the ceremony. The Igdir-Nakhchivan gas pipeline, which will be created on the initiative of both leaders with founding and creative characteristics, will be an occasion to fully satisfy Nakhchivan’s gas needs, positively affect the social situation and give impetus to the economic development of the Autonomous Republic. With a capacity of 730 million cubic meters per year, there is even an opportunity to more than double the gas supply through the pipeline in the future. During the visit, documents on the Kars-Nakhchivan railway project, construction works in Kahramanmarash province and transmission of electricity generated from renewable energy sources were also signed between the sister countries. All this once again shows that our relations are constantly expanding, covering all areas.”
The ATUC chairman added that at a time when complex processes are taking place in the world, it is very important for the heads of states of fraternal and strategic allied countries to meet and hold consultations: “we believe that the current meeting of President Ilham Aliyev and Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan will strengthen the solidarity of fraternal States and increase their cooperation.”
