New collective agreement adopted

A new collective agreement regulating labor relations was adopted at “Baku Metropoliteni” CJSC. In this regard, a general meeting was held with the participation of collective members.

It should be noted that the collective agreement concluded in written form between the employer and the labor collective or trade union organization is considered the most important and legal decisive document that regulates the relations of any enterprise, entrepreneur and its employees.

In accordance with the requirements of the Labor Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, since the term of the current collective agreement has expired, a draft of a new one has been prepared and discussed by the collective and the management. In this regard, during the last period, the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Metropolitan Employees’ Trade Union made a decision regarding the preparation of the draft of the new collective agreement, created a working commission and elected its representatives. According to the legislation, the decision was sent to Zaur Huseynov, the chairman of “Baku Metropoliteni” CJSC, in an official letter, and a commission (working group) of equal numbers with the participation of the representatives appointed by the employer began to operate within the next 10 days.

Since the metropolitan area covers a very wide area and profile, intensive work was done on the preparation of the contract, and the final project document was prepared. Experienced and competent specialists were also involved in this process, the requirements of laws, the best examples of local and international practice were examined and taken into account.

In accordance with the requirements of the Labor Code, the project was discussed at the general meeting – conference, organized by MIHI, where all areas of the collective are represented, and accepted by voting.

According to part 7 of Article 30 of the Labor Code, the project is signed and becomes effective after approval.
