President of the Azerbaijan Metal Workers Trade Union Federation Bekir Yusifov has been elected vice-president of the International Eurasian Metal Workers Federation.
On March 6, 2023, President of Azerbaijan Metal Workers Trade Union Federation Bekir Yusifov attended the 55th meeting of the Central Committee of the International Eurasian Metal Workers Federation in Ankara, Turkey. The meeting was opened by the secretary general of the International Eurasian Federation of Metal Workers Yusuf Ziya Odabash, and then the president of the Federation Pevrul Kavlak continued the meeting.

On March 7, 2023, The X Congress of the International Federation of Eurasian Metalworkers was held at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Ankara. The Congress was attended by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of population of Turkey Vedat Bilgin and the chairman of the Confederation of the Turkish Trade Union (Turk-ish) Ergun Atalay.
In the elections, Pevrul Kavlak was unanimously elected president for the 5th time.
At the Congress, president of the Azerbaijan Metal Workers Trade Union Federation Bekir Yusifov was elected vice-president of the International Eurasian Metal Workers Federation.
At the end of the speeches of the representatives on the agenda, the working report of the representatives of the IEMWF presented at The X Congress and the report of the committee of the Audit Commission were unanimously approved.
