“Convenient geographical location, location on international and regional transport corridors, extensive logistics capabilities, efficient organization of transit cargo transportation and reliable provision increase the importance of our country at all levels, as well as strengthen its economic power. The projects initiated and implemented by Azerbaijan, which gained the status of the leading state of the region, are considered very useful and supported by the participating states, and the cooperation of our country with both European countries and Asian countries is constantly expanding. From this point of view, Azerbaijan’s relations with Central Asia, including the Turkic-speaking countries, can be highly appreciated.

Sattar Mohbaliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), member of the Milli Majlis, expressed these views to the mass media.

According to him, the services of our head of state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, in reaching the strategic level and continuous development of our existing relations with Turkic-speaking countries should be emphasized, and this is an important component of our state’s foreign policy: “This year, the visits of the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan Visits to Kyrgyzstan indicate the dynamic development of relations. The recent visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Turkmenistan and the holding of the First Trilateral Summit of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan are very important against the background of the conflicting moments and the tense military-political situation in the world.”

“Such meetings and organized mutual visits, as well as negotiations and signed documents allow brotherly countries to be united and take a united stand against any crisis. Of course, having the same ancestry, language, religion, and common culture are the basic principles of this union. It is known that the relations between all three countries are increasing year by year in all areas, mainly economic indicators are constantly increasing. The signing of agreements between Azerbaijan-Turkey-Turkmenistan in the fields of trade and economy, customs, energy, transport, science, education and culture will bring the relations between these countries to a new level and give a new impetus to the dynamic development in the mentioned fields,” said the deputy of the Milli Majlis.
