A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan was The chairman of ATUC, deputy of the Milli Majlis, Sattar Mohbaliyev, added to the agenda of the meeting “the draft of the General Collective Agreement to be concluded for the years 2023-2025”, “Taking care of a group of martyrs’ families”, “Healthy health for workers during 9 months of 2021 and 2022″. and the work carried out by ATUC and member organizations on creating safe working conditions and preventing industrial injuries” and other current issues.held on November 11.
During the discussion of the issues, it was stated that in order to implement the agreed socio-economic policy on the basic principles of social and labor relations regulation in accordance with the Labor Code, to create the necessary conditions for the social protection of the population, and to ensure the labor, economic and legal interests of citizens, the Cabinet of Ministers, ATUC and Azerbaijan The draft of the General Collective Agreement for the years 2023-2025 has been prepared between the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic. At the meeting, in order to increase the efficiency of the final negotiations with the government and the employers’ union, the members of the Executive Committee of ATUC were advised to hold discussions with relevant departments and organizations about the provisions of the General Collective Agreement, as well as to submit the draft of the General Collective Agreement to the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan a decision was made.
According to the decision adopted at the meeting, 32 children of 18 martyrs who died on September 13-14 this year while preventing the large-scale sabotage committed by units of the Armenian armed forces in Dashkasan, Kalbajar and Lachin directions of the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border were taken into custody. Thus, a family with one child will be paid 100 manats per month until the child turns 18, and a family with two or more children will be paid 200 manats per month until the child turns 18.
Govhar Beidullayeva, a member of the “Chess-Dama” sports club of the Association of Sports Organizations of Azerbaijan Trade Unions, won the title of World Champion at the 20-year-old women’s world chess championship. On this occasion, a decision was made to award cash prizes to Govhar Beidullayeva and her coach Khanlar Allahverdiyev.
During the discussion of the issue “About the work carried out by ATUC and its member organizations on creating healthy and safe working conditions for employees and preventing industrial injuries during the 9 months of 2021 and 2022”, it was stated that during the past 1 year and 9 months 89.52% of 1441 violations (1290) identified during the inspections carried out by technical labor inspectors were eliminated. 172 people were injured and 32 people died during the accidents that happened in production at the enterprises and organizations served by ATUC. As a result of the implemented measures, industrial injuries decreased by 49.46% in the 9 months of 2022 compared to the previous year.
The Executive Committee made a decision to take concrete measures to eliminate the existing shortcomings in order to create safe and healthy working conditions in the enterprises and organizations serving the member organizations of ATUC.
Apart from these, other issues on the agenda, including current and organizational issues, were discussed and relevant decisions were made.
In the end, the chairman of ATUC recommended the implementation of regular educational measures for the purpose of labor protection, safety equipment, industrial sanitation, creation of healthy and safe working conditions, minimization of accidents, industrial injuries, occupational diseases, compliance with the rules and norms of labor protection. S. Mohbaliyev also said that all appeals addressed to the trade unions should be thoroughly investigated, all the raised problems should be resolved in time in accordance with the legislation, and citizen satisfaction should be fully ensured.
The Chairman of the Confederation stressed that it is a sacred duty of all of us to be sensitive to the appeals of the families and parents of martyrs, veterans, and veterans.
