Eric Manzi, Deputy Secretary General of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), who is visiting Baku to participate in COP29, visited the “Buzovna” Physiotherapy Center of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (AHİK).

During the inspection of the center, the Chairman of the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions, Sahib Mammadov, informed the guest that there are 2 four-story dormitories for 90 people. All rooms are equipped with necessary household appliances. Also, rest areas have been created in the center for the union members to rest comfortably. On the first floor of the two-story treatment building, there is a dining hall, on the second floor there are treatment and examination rooms, and massage rooms. The indoor swimming pool is also used by the patients. Also, extensive greening works were carried out in the territory of the center, flowers, decorative bushes and trees were planted.

The official of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) visited the living quarters, treatment and examination rooms, and got acquainted with the created conditions. Talking with doctors, the guest was informed about the working principle of the center, the services provided, procedural rules, and nutrition.

It was also reported that “Buzovna” Physiotherapy Center is among the places where foreign guests participating in the COP29 events are staying. All the necessary arrangements have been made for the guests’ stay and relaxation, and at the same time, the participants of the “AHIK volunteers” program provide all kinds of support for their comfortable work.
