Youth Innovation Forum: “New Perspectives” project was presented

A presentation of the “Youth Innovation Forum: New Perspectives” project by Zahra Ahmadzadeh, a 4th-year student of the Academy of Labor and Social Relations was held by the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers, a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.

The event was attended by Mirza Jafarzadeh, the deputy chairman of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers, the chairmen and activists of student trade union committees operating in higher education institutions.

Mirza Jafarzadeh informed about the project. He said that the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers is interested in supporting new initiatives and projects, including projects aimed at solving students’ problems. According to him, the goal of the project is to increase the knowledge and skills of young people, to support their active participation in the startup ecosystem.

Then Zahra Ahmadzade made a presentation about the project. It should be noted that the project envisages the creation of large working teams with the active participation and joint cooperation of student union committees of Azerbaijani universities. These teams will be organized to develop students’ knowledge and skills in various fields, to ensure more active participation of young people in start-up and innovation projects. It is also considered important to establish close relations between student union committees of different universities and to form mutual support mechanisms to achieve common goals.

Working teams that will be created within the project will ensure that young people can discuss various topics, improve their practical skills and work on real projects. It is also planned to implement mentor support and training programs for these teams to succeed in future startup projects.

After the presentation, discussions about the project were held and the opinions and suggestions of the participants were heard.
