Four years have passed since the liberation of the city of Fuzuli from Armenian occupation, one of the glorious pages of our history of victory.
On the 21st day of the 44-day Patriotic War, i.e. on October 17, 2020, the city of Fuzuli and the villages of Gochahmadli, Chiman, Juvarli, Pirahmadli, Musabayli, Istikli and Dadali were liberated from the invaders. In the course of the Patriotic War, the strategic significance of the Fuzuli operation was quite large. This district was not only the third largest settlement freed from occupation after Hadrut and Jabrayil, but also the area where the Ohanyan barrier, which stood at the center of the myth created about the invincibility of Armenians, and where there were several rows of strong fortifications and defense lines. Therefore, the liberation of Fuzuli from the occupation led to widespread desertion and demoralization in the ranks of the Armenian army, the Azerbaijani Army advanced even more decisively, and a new stage of the great triumphal march towards Shusha and other occupied lands began.
Currently, as in our other territories freed from occupation, rapid restoration and construction works are being carried out in Fuzuli region, transport and communication lines are being built, residential buildings and houses are being built.
Glorious Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev visited Fuzuli district many times, took a close interest in the ongoing large-scale construction and construction works, inaugurated Fuzuli International Airport, Digital Station Management Center and other enterprises and settlements.
People are now returning to their native lands and making a good living. So far, 823 families and 3136 people have returned to Fuzuli. We believe that it will not be long before life in this ancient land named after the genius poet and thinker Muhammad Fuzuli will be more beautiful and peaceful than before, and people will live a happy and prosperous life.
