Chairman of the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Sahib Mammadov met with Hamid Mehdiyev, the chairman of the trade union committee of the public legal entity “Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts”.
The chairman of AHIK, Sahib Mammadov, wished success to the newly established committee and said that the committee is the first trade union created under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev in our territories freed from occupation. Calling this a significant event in the history of trade unions, Sahib Mammadov emphasized that they will be given all kinds of support by both the Republican Committee of the State Departments and Public Service Employees Trade Union, which they are members of, and AHIK for the effective functioning of the committee.
The chairman of the confederation noted that Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, who returned Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh to our people, is the chief architect of the construction works carried out in those areas today. According to him, our cities and villages freed from occupation will look better than before in the near future and will make great contributions to the comprehensive, including economic, development of our country.
The chairman of the trade union committee of the service, Hamid Mehdiyev, said that the organization he represents was founded on the initiative of its employees in the city of Khankendi, currently there are 150 members of the union, and the number of members is expected to increase in the future.
He also noted that most of the members are families of former IDPs (internally displaced persons) and martyrs and will provide them with all possible support within their powers and adequately protect their legitimate interests.
In the end, the chairman of AHIK Sahib Mammadov submitted to Hamid Mehdiyev the decision of the Presidium on the admission of the trade union committee of the public legal entity “Rehabilitation, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi City, Agdara and Khojaly Regions” to the Republican Committee of State Departments and Public Service Employees Trade Union.
