On September 7, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) Sahib Mammadov visited ATUC sanatoriums and got acquainted with the conditions created for the treatment of union members.
The chairman of the Confederation visited the territory of the sanatorium “Shikh”, examined the treatment and living rooms and the kitchen.
It was noted that the sanatorium has single and double rooms with all modern amenities. The treatment base consists of Clinical-Diagnostic Laboratory, functional diagnostics, therapeutic physical training, massage and medical offices of various profiles. Medical history, activity of treatment rooms, accounting and canteen in the sanatorium are connected to the centralized smart system, which is a pilot project. Services include sulfur water baths, naftalan therapy and paraffin therapy. Guests from Israel, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Germany, Poland, Denmark and other countries also receive treatment here.
Then the Chairman of ATUC, Sahib Mammadov, visited “Absheron” gastro-intestinal sanatorium and “Miras” recreation center located in the same place, and was interested in the treatment conditions of the patients. It was reported that the services of the sanatorium include iodine-bromine baths, naphthalene therapy, paraffin therapy and treatment procedures using natural mud. The treatment base here consists of a clinical-diagnostic laboratory, functional diagnostics, therapeutic physical education, massage, and medical offices of various profiles. “Miras” recreation center also has a swimming pool, massage room, foot baths, sauna, as well as indoor and outdoor exercise machines at the disposal of visitors.
The chairman of the Confederation also inspected the neurological sanatorium “Gunashli” located in the settlement of Mardakan and got acquainted with the situation here.
It was noted that for people suffering from diseases of the nervous system, the sanatorium “Gunashli” is quite convenient. The sanatorium offers iodine-bromine baths, naftalan therapy, paraffin therapy and treatment with natural mud. Sea baths and outdoor sleep are among the treatments that have the greatest effect on the restoration and strengthening of the nervous system.
Chairman of ATUC Sahib Mammadov also visited” Garangush ” urological sanatorium. The chairman was informed that the healing mineral water of the Chiraggala natural source in the sanatorium, which has been operating since 1979, creates the basis for the successful treatment of diseases of the urinary system in the sanatorium “Garangush”. Also, patients are treated with natural healing mud and mineral iodine-bromine water.
Arriving at the “Sheki” recreation center of ATUC located in Buzovna settlement, Sahib Mammadov inspected the territory, buildings and got acquainted with the conditions created for recreation.
At the end, the chairman of the Confederation came to the Cardiological sanatorium “Bilgah” and was informed that there are functional diagnostics, therapeutic Gymnastics, physiotherapy, sleep therapy, therapeutic massage, oxygenotherapy, dentistry and gynecology offices, balneological hospital, as well as clinical-diagnostic and biochemistry laboratories.
ATUC chairman Sahib Mammadov also met with those who were treated in sanatoriums, inquired about their situation, listened to their opinions and suggestions. He said that the protection of the health of its members and the effective organization of their rest is one of the main tasks of trade unions. According to him, from year to year the material and technical base of the sanatoriums is strengthened, equipped with modern medical equipment, at the same time, repair work is carried out and adapted to the requirements of the new era.
The chairman of the ATUC also gave recommendations and instructions to the heads of sanatoriums on further improving the quality of services provided, compliance with sanitary and technical safety rules and the importance of greening the territories.
