Sattar Mohbaliyev:” President Ilham Aliyev’s remarks at the 2nd Shusha Forum contain important messages for the political future of the world”
“Indeed, it is a proud sight, our zeal, our beautiful place in Shusha, where the most important issues and problems of the world are discussed, global decisions are made. These are the real results of the words of the head of state, victorious Supreme Commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev “Dear Shusha, we will revive you”. Restoring Shusha in a short time, introducing it to the world, declaring its identity, as well as turning it into the center of international events, directly shows the power of our state, the excellent management and creative ability of President Ilham Aliyev. This time, Shusha, the capital of our culture, hosted the 2nd Shusha Global Media Forum on the topic “exposing false information: combating disinformation”, which deals with the solution of unpleasant events faced by the world media. First of all, the participation and joint discussion of more than 50 foreign guests from 150 countries, including information agencies of about 30 countries, 3 international organizations and 82 media organizations in this prestigious forum shows the growing interest in the event and its importance. The topic is also extremely relevant. Because information that is false, has no basis, is defamatory, distracts the attention of the international community from the main issues, confuses societies and forms negative images about individual states is happening. Azerbaijan is also one of the countries suffering from disinformation for many years. Therefore, a joint fight against this negative trend is quite inevitable.”
Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), deputy of the Milli Majlis of the VI convocation Sattar Mohbaliyev said in his statement to the mass media.
According to him, it is very important that so many foreign guests from different countries, including members of the media, come to our liberated territories, see with their eyes the traces of vandalism committed by the occupiers, as well as get acquainted with the creative work carried out by Azerbaijan in those lands, know who the real inhabitants of these territories are:“ Because here the journalist, who witnessed everything himself and treated his profession honestly, conveys the truth both to the country he represents and to the international community. The participation of the head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev in the opening ceremony and answering numerous questions of the participants reflect the importance of the Forum. During his activity, president Ilham Aliyev was always open to the press, held meetings with local and foreign journalists and clarified their questions. This, of course, is due to the democratic nature of the head of our country, who has always supported the Free Press and created great opportunities for their free activity. We remember very well Mr. Ilham Aliyev’s interviews with dozens of foreign media during the 44-day Patriotic War and beyond. He was at the forefront of the information front, with his logical and coherent answers, gave a detailed explanation of the essence of the events taking place, overturned the disinformation and conveyed the truth and the fair position of Azerbaijan to the world.”
