The work done by the Trade Union of the Ganja Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences during 2017-2023 was discussed at the general meeting of the Branch’s employees.
Sanan Hasanov, chairman of the Free Trade Union of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, also participated in the meeting.
Academician Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Ganja Branch of ANAS, opened the meeting and said that during all periods of the creation and development of the scientific center, the Trade Union was with the employees in the most difficult days, especially in the coronavirus environment, it constantly helped them.
Academician Fuad Aliyev expressed his belief that the trade union will be sensitive to the effective suggestions and recommendations of the employees in addition to reporting to the collective at today’s meeting.
The report of Naila Hajiyeva, the head of the trade union of Ganja Branch of ANAS, was heard about the work done in 2017-2023.
Among those who spoke at the meeting, the director of the Institute of Agrarian Problems, Sadagat Adigozalova, the director of the Nizami Ganjavi Center, Alimukhtar Mukhtarov, and the deputy head of the department, Sara Azizova, satisfactorily assessed the activity and report of the trade union in the last seven years, and also appreciated the business-like, sincere and sensitive personal qualities of the chairman of the organization. Naila Hajiyeva was again evaluated as the most worthy candidate for the election of the head of this position. The participants of the general meeting also took the floor and expressed their solidarity with these ideas and proposals.
At the meeting, Yegana Aliyeva, the chairman of the Inspection Commission of the Trade Union, also presented a report.
Candidates for committee membership of the organization were determined by open voting and a 7-person committee was selected and their candidate Naila Hajiyeva was elected as the head of the Trade Union Organization of Ganja Branch of ANAS.
At the meeting, Yegana Aliyeva was nominated for the Inspection Commission. A 3-person delegation was also elected to the commission, with Y. Aliyeva as its chairman.
Another issue at the meeting was related to the selection of representatives to the 8th Congress of the ANAS Free Trade Union. Academician Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Ganja Branch of ANAS, and Naila Hajiyeva, chairman of the Trade Union of the branch, were elected as representatives to the Congress through voting.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the ANAS Free Trade Union, Doctor of Philosophy in Political Sciences, Sanan Hasanov, delivered the greetings of ANAS President, Academician Isa Habibbeyli to the employees of the Ganja Department, its chairman, Academician Fuad Aliyev, and emphasized that the activities of this major science center of Ganja are always highly appreciated. He noted that the work of the Trade Union has a great role in the successful operation of the Ganja Division. S. Hasanov once again congratulated the elected management team and wished them new successes in the activities of the Trade Union.
In the end, Sanan Hasanov donated copies of the book “Heydar Aliyev and Ilham Aliyev: a strong state, the philosophy of victory, the Great Return”, which he co-authored, to the library of ANAS Ganja Branch.
Academician Fuad Aliyev, Chairman of Ganja Branch of ANAS, presented Sanan Hasanova with books published in the Branch on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the 20 visits of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Ganja.
